FAQ Request articles not available at Emory
Q: How can I request a copy of an article or borrow materials that are not available at Emory?
A: If you are a faculty, staff, or student at Emory, you may place an Interlibrary Loan request by using the ILLiad system. You can access ILLiad from the library's web site by selecting Interlibrary Loan under "Most popular services" from the sidebar on the right.
Q: How will I receive the Interlibrary Loan article I've requested?
A: You will be notified by email when your article(s) are available for viewing in PDF format. To view an electronic document:
1. Login to ILLiad
2. Click on Electronic Documents under View/Edit
3. Click the View button beside the transaction number of the document you wish to view.
Q: Why did I receive a notice that my Interlibrary Loan request was cancelled?
A: Usually it is because you can access the article or book here at Emory either online or in print. To see an explanation about your specific request, log into ILLiad and select "Cancelled Requests" under the View/Edit menu.
