Q: What is the H-Index
A: The H-Index is one tool for determining relative quality of an author's work by measurement of an author's most cited publications. The H-Index was developed by Dr. Jorge Hirsch and is described in an article published in 2005.
Q: How do I find the H-Index for my publications?
A: Start from the library website and link to Web of Science.
- Search for author's name. Ex: Smith JB
- When results appear, link to the "create citation report" on the right side of the screen.
- The H-index will appear with the Citation Report, on the right side of the screen.
